Gloucestershire cricket star is bowled over by Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross
THERE’S no chance of Gloucestershire Cricket star Phil Mustard getting caught out in an unexciting car after the batsman and wicketkeeper took delivery of a new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross from CCR Mitsubishi in Bristol.
‘The Colonel’ is getting behind the wheel of the recently launched SUV as part of a new sporting partnership with the dealership, which is located on Feeder Road just a short drive from Gloucestershire Cricket’s home at The Brightside Ground.
The 35-year-old cricketer, who prior to signing for Gloucestershire Cricket in 2016 scored more than 7,000 runs in 185 first class appearances for Durham, will use the fully-liveried Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 4 to carry out business engagements and travel to and from matches. There are also plans for Phil to participate in CCR Mitsubishi Bristol customer events and launches.
On receiving the top-of-the-range version of the recently-launched Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, Phil said: “It’s fantastic to be involved with a business that is passionate about supporting its local club and I’m really looking forward to getting out and about in the Eclipse Cross. I’ve always been a fan of SUVs and it looks fantastic.”
Chris Green, General Manager, CCR Mitsubishi, presented Phil with the keys to the striking Eclipse Cross. He added: “We’re delighted to give our backing to such a fantastic sportsman and Phil’s a great ambassador. His performance on the cricket pitch is superb, so it’s only right that we’ve matched him with our most athletic model. The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross has been a huge success since its launch earlier in the year and we’re sure that Phil will enjoy driving it. We very much look forward to working with him in the future.”
