Heritage fleet to star at the UK’s first ever EVO Festival
VEHICLES from the Mitsubishi Motors in the UK heritage fleet are set to have a starring role at the UK’s first ever Mitsubishi Owners’ Days and EVO Festival.
The brand will be officially represented at the two-day event, hosted over 26th-27th August at Cadwell Park race circuit, with an eye-catching display of seven vehicles.
Organised by the Mitsubishi Lancer Register (MLR), the free-to-enter event celebrates the Register’s 20th anniversary and all things Mitsubishi.
Taking centre stage on Mitsubishi Motors’ stand will be the heritage fleet’s Lancer Evolution VI Tommi Makkinen special edition, while also on display will be its 1974 Colt Lancer, Willys Jeep, 3000GT and Lancer Evolution X FQ-440. Showcasing the brand’s latest developments will be the Outlander PHEV and limited edition L200 Barbarian SVP.
The action-packed weekend will bring together Mitsubishi and EVO owners’ clubs from across the UK, Europe and much further afield. All Mitsubishi vehicles are welcome and the busy event schedule includes track sessions and demos on the 2.1-mile circuit, plus trade stands, a concours show area and live entertainment.
There will also be an attempt to break the world record for the largest number of EVOs on track, which MLR achieved in 2008 with 273 cars.
