HULL Mitsubishi’s Andrew Iveson is one of only seven car sales managers nationwide to be nominated for a major industry award.

Andrew, who has recently celebrated 20 years’ service at the Livingstone Road dealership, has been shortlisted for the title of Sales Manager of the Year in Motor Trader magazine’s annual awards.

Of the finalists, Andrew is the only one from an independent dealership, the other nominees all being employed by major multi-franchise dealer groups.

To be considered for the award that recognises the pivotal role played by sales managers, Andrew has had to demonstrate how he has implemented and led successful sales programmes and excelled in customer satisfaction and retention. He has also had to submit a 500-word supporting statement and underwent a three-hour appraisal by a member of the Motor Trader judging panel.

The father-of-three from Kirk Ella will find out if he is the lucky winner at the Motor Trader Awards gala dinner, which is to be held at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Wednesday 12th July.

Andrew said: “It’s excellent to have the recognition and I’m very proud to have been shortlisted. I like to be innovative in my approach and am always looking for opportunities to make our customer service and performance even stronger, but the nomination is also testament to the hard work of the Hull Mitsubishi team – their support is fantastic and they’re always behind me 100 per cent, even if some of my ideas might seem unconventional.”

Hull Mitsubishi celebrated its 25th anniversary last year and consistently scores the highest five-star rating in the manufacturer’s customer satisfaction surveys.
