ONE of the newest dealerships in the Mitsubishi Motors in the UK dealer network has scrummed down with its local rugby club.

Croxdale Mitsubishi, located on the A167 around four miles outside Durham city centre, has strengthened its fast-growing local ties with the sponsorship of Durham City Rugby Football Club.

The new partnership will see Croxdale Mitsubishi, which opened its doors in February and caters for the requirements of new and existing Mitsubishi owners, and the long-established club collaborate on future events. The dealership is now also the main sponsor of the match day programme and has prominent advertising at the team’s Hollow Drift ground.

Durham City RFC was founded in 1872 and has players of all ages, spanning the senior team through to the Under 6s. The Senior 1st XV currently play in the North 1 East league.

Bethany Knill, Group Marketing Manager at Croxdale Group, said: “It’s very important for us to support our local community and we are delighted to become a sponsor of Durham City. It’s fantastic to put our backing behind our local club and work alongside the partnership between England Rugby and Mitsubishi Motors in the UK.”

Rob Smith, Sponsorship Secretary at Durham RFC, commented: “The Club is delighted to welcome Croxdale Mitsubishi on board. It’s fantastic to have a local business behind us and we look forward to starting the new season with their support.”
