The exceptionally high standard of Mitsubishi Motors in the UK’s dealer training has been officially recognised by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI).

In conjunction with the IMI, Mitsubishi Motors in the UK has launched the first of its new Quality Assured Programmes (QAP), which will be available to all sales, technical, parts and service staff.

To earn the endorsement of the IMI, its training team, in-house training facility and selected courses have all been assessed and approved by the IMI.

Behind the development, which is the culmination of a two-year project, is the brand’s strong growth and Mitsubishi Motors in the UK’s desire to attract and develop the very best dealer personnel.

Ray Watts, Training Manager, Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, said: “Our courses inspire delegates and give them the confidence, knowledge and skills to succeed. With the backing of the IMI, our delegates can rest assured that they are enjoying training that is amongst the best offered by any automotive brand.”

Having a hands-on role in teaching QAP delegates, Neil Clapham, Sales Training Manager at Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, said: “We have always believed that the training we offer dealer personnel here at the Mitsubishi Training Academy is to a very high level, now we can prove it. Feedback from the first delegates has been excellent with delegates appreciating that they are receiving industry-standard recognition and formal recognition for their achievements.

Toby Marshall, Sales & Marketing Director, Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, added: “With the introduction of the QAPs, we know that our dealer staff and our franchise partners have the best possible tools in order to deliver a first-class service to their customers.”
