THE annual BBC Children in Need fundraiser is taking place this coming Friday – and if your dealership is doing something, Mitsubishi Matters would love to hear from you so that we can help you get publicity.

Now in its 35th year, Children in Need has raised more than £790m for good causes. Last year staff at Jennings Mitsubishi, in Middlesbrough, dressed up as superheroes for the day and took part in a bake-off. The company also donated £10 for every new and used car sold in the week leading up to the annual charity event.

Every penny goes to support children and young people who face poverty and deprivation, children who have been victims of abuse or neglect, and disabled youngsters across the UK.

Sir Terry Wogan, BBC Children in Need Life President, said: ‘It was my privilege to present the very first BBC Children in Need in 1980 and it remains a privilege and a pleasure to reflect the extraordinary generosity of the British public. For that’s what BBC Children in Need has truly become: the People’s Charity. The past couple of years have produced record-breaking totals on the big night, and it’s fingers crossed for another magnificent response from the British public.’

The charity works with about 2,600 projects nationwide, so if you’re going to be involved with Children in Need on Friday and would like the Mitsubishi Matters team to help you publicise your kind-hearted deeds in your local media, please call us on 023 9250 4114 or e-mail news@mitsubishi-matters.co.uk
