Screen shot 2012-11-07 at 10.22.05TEES Valley Mitsubishi have heralded the impact of the brand’s latest models after it was announced that the dealership had the UK’s highest sales volume in the first quarter.  

Joint Managing Director Bill Robson also praised the hard work of his loyal staff after seeing his dealership notched up a healthy tally of registrations in a fantastic start to the year.

Bill said the new Outlander and the Mirage had got off to a flying start while the L200, ASX and Shogun had all performed well.

‘The two new cars started with a big bang,’ he said.

‘They did well straight away and it’s been a fantastic response. But we did well across the board too.’

The family-run dealership in Darlington has been with Mitsubishi since 2001 and they pride themselves on their five-star Customer Recommendation Score.

‘The team are all fanatical about customer service,’ he said.

Some members of staff, such as sales manager Paul Cook, have more than 20 years of experience working with Mitsubishi, while aftersales manager Mark Wilson has been with Bill and Neal Gibson, who run the dealership together, since 1992.

Bill said: ‘The team here are brilliant. We’ve had the same team for years and years and customers love coming back and seeing the same faces year after year.’

‘We are delighted’

On the news that his dealership has enjoyed the best first quarter he said: ‘We are delighted. It’s fantastic to be the highest sales volume dealer in the first quarter. It’s a good achievement.’

And the secret to their success?

‘It’s not been easy, you have got to work pretty hard for it,’ Bill said.

‘It’s customer loyalty, staff loyalty, quality of staff and of course it’s just a fantastic product. One of the reasons customers are so happy is because there are never any service issues because the cars don’t go wrong.’

Now Bill and Neal are looking ahead to a healthy second quarter at Tees Valley Mitsubishi.

Bill said: ‘The momentum hasn’t stopped and we have got our fingers crossed for the second quarter.’
