Wood you believe it! Carpenter Jonathan has transport nailed
Jonathan White, 40, of Lytchett Minster, scooped the four-wheel drive workhorse in a draw run jointly by builders’ merchant Jewsons and BSW Timber Group.
And the delighted father-of-two believes the striking double-cab model – worth £16,000 – will help him drive his business, JW Carpentry, forward.
He plans to use the L200 – 15-time winner of the coveted What Van? Pick Up of the Year award – to win more customers while his chippies use the company vans.
Speaking after collecting his keys from local dealer Poole Mitsubishi, an excited Jonathan said: ‘I can’t believe my luck. This will be brilliant for my business.’
He added: ‘When the guys at Jewsons phoned me to tell me I’d won the car I thought they were pulling my leg. They’d run a draw last year and I won the top prize – a Sony Playstation – and I thought there was no way lightning could strike twice.’
The competition was run at Jewsons network of 600-plus outlets nationwide and was open to anyone who purchased more than £50 worth of BSW Timber products.
Neil Grindley, Regional Director of Jewsons, said: ‘This was a really successful promotion and we’re delighted that one of our loyal customers has won such a fabulous and valuable prize.’
Neil Horton, Sales Director of BSW Timber, added: ‘The Mitsubishi L200 Trojan was the perfect vehicle for this competition as it’s a model so many of our customers aspire to.’
